On Thursday, 6th of April, 2017, Dr. Ahmad H. Ibrahim, director of the international office and Chiya I. Dino, post-graduate department of the University of Zakho participated in the workshop which was organised by the HEPES organisation in Erbil. The workshop"s main subject was on how to submit grant proposals for supporting the displaced Syrian high education students in Iraq. The workshop was sponsored by DAAD organisation, British Consul in Erbil, the France and Holland education organisations. This visit after HOPES invitation which it is launching the Call for Proposals to support 40 innovative education initiatives targeting refugees and vulnerable host communities in Egypt, Northern Iraq (KRI), Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Syria.

On Friday 7th of April, 2017, Dr. Ahmad H. Ibrahim, director of the international office and Chiya I. Dino, post graduate department from the University of Zakho participated in the 12th International Book fair. The fair provides a platform for interaction and networking among creative intellectuals, scientists, artists, and consumers of their innovative products. In the exhibition the delegation met the major world publisher like Cambridge, Amazon, Oxford, Pathfinder Books and Jaypee Brothers, to have more cooperation in the near future.
